Use of the Evidence of Student Learning

The School of Nursing (SON) is intentional about ongoing program assessment as the key to program quality and improvement. Faculty, staff, and students are responsible for continuous program assessment and participate readily. Students are encouraged to provide input to facilitate decision making. All standards and key elements of the Standards for Accreditation of Baccalaureate and Graduate Nursing Programs (CCNE, 2018) are addressed and reviewed according to established guidelines, Master Program Evaluation Plan (PEP), by the Program Assessment Committee (PAC) within the SON. Expected program outcomes that are being evaluated include: (a) completion and employment rates; (b) individual and aggregate student outcomes (PLOs); (c) student satisfaction; and (d) alumni satisfaction.
