Integrative Wellness
- Apply evidence-based coaching strategies and behavior change techniques to facilitate meaningful lifestyle changes and improved health outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues in a wide variety of setting to provide an integrative and holistic approach to healthcare, health education, and health promotion
- Use technology to provide lifestyle interventions to prevent and effectively manage chronic disease
- Prepare for nationally recognized and accredited certification exams by the American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching (ICHWC)
Exercise Science
- Incorporate current best evidence and practices to make effective clinical decisions and advance scholarship in exercise science
- Collaborate with colleagues to determine health, fitness, and disease states in clients and patients to enhance care
- Create exercise interventions to prevent and treat chronic diseases
Sport Management
- Master key management and leadership principles to direct sports organizations and athletic programs effectively
- Develop strategic decision-making skills while gaining at least 100 hours of relevant professional experience in the San Diego sports industry
- Effectively serve the sport and sport-education industries through faith-based ethical management principles and practices
Sport Performance
- Master advanced concepts in biomechanics and neuromechanics to improve function, eliminate pain, and optimize human performance

Master of Science in Athletic Training Learning Outcomes
- To prepare students to demonstrate competency in interpreting evidence-based research and improving clinical standards and practice through clinical question development and research methodology
- To prepare students to develop expertise in the athletic training domains through an integrative experiential clinical model
- To equip students with appropriate knowledge and educational foundation required for an entry-level Certified Athletic Trainer
- To prepare students to establish and understand the importance of inter-professional relationships, while collaborating with other health care professionals to become effective communicators
- To prepare students to demonstrate preparation, knowledge and skill in the delivery of comprehensive health care to a diverse set of patients with musculoskeletal injuries and conditions and illnesses in a distinctly moral and ethical manner, integrating Christian faith with clinical practice
Master of Science in Athletic Training Goals
- Meet national accreditation standards set by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and educational competencies as determined by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA)
- Produce high quality, ethical and professional certified athletic trainers for employment in diverse allied health
- Prepare students to successfully complete the Board of Certification (BOC) national certification exam
- Foster the development of critical thinking and problem solving skills using an evidence-based approach
Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Learning Outcomes
- Use critical reasoning to provide evidenced-based occupational therapy services across the lifespan, in a variety of service delivery models, health care settings, and community-based systems
- Develop and utilize a therapeutic use of self during client interactions, which supports the client’s engagement in occupational therapy, and achievement of the client’s goals
- Provide services within a client-centered, occupation, and faith-based framework, with consideration of contextual factors, which influence a person’s, group’s, and/or population’s ability to engage in meaningful occupational tasks and roles
- Demonstrate compliance with legal, ethical, and professional standards when interacting with clients, service providers, and/or systems
- Exhibit the ability to document, manage, and evaluate outcomes of services provided
- Develop clinical programs which meet a need for underserved persons, groups, and/or populations in the community

Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Goals
- Recruit qualified individuals whose missions align with the PLNU MSOT Program, who will successfully complete the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy degree at PLNU
- Maintain and/or exceed educational standards to achieve full ACOTE(c) accreditation
- Cultivate a commitment to service in underserved communities
- Educate students in a collaborative team model that promotes critical thinking and consideration of contextual, personal, and client factors
- Graduate students with NBCOT(c) pass rates above the national average

Physician Assistant, M.S.M. Learning Outcomes
- Gather a history and perform a physical examination
- Prioritize a differential diagnosis following a clinical encounter
- Recommend and interpret common diagnostic and screening tests
- Enter and discuss orders and prescriptions
- Document a clinical encounter in the patient record
- Provide an oral presentation of a clinical encounter
- Form clinical questions and retrieve evidence to advance patient care
- Give or receive a patient handover to transition care responsibility
