Use of the Evidence of Student Learning

Our department examines assessment data on a regular basis to determine how well students are meeting the program learning outcomes.  The attachments below describe the detailed data that we have obtained for each major.

Throughout the academic year and during the summer, course curriculum and instructional methods are reviewed by the SSFS department chair(s) and faculty.  Changes are made to course curriculum and revisions to instructional methods are altered for improved effectiveness of instruction and student learning.  Assessment methods are annually evaluated for effectiveness in assessing each SSFS program for student learning outcomes, thus analyzing if student learning was achieved at the desired level.
